You can stay for 30 days, counted from the day you first arrive. Your first arrival must be before the e-Visa’s expiry date. It can’t be extended.
An e-Visa can’t be extended or switched to another type of visa once you’re in India, so choose the right one before you travel.
You must enter India through one of the airports or seaports approved for e-Visas. All the main international airports are included, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Goa and Kochi. You can leave from any immigration checkpoint.
People of Pakistani origin, anyone with a military, police or security background (serving or retired), and holders of diplomatic or official passports must apply for a regular visa instead.
Before you fly, complete India’s free e-Arrival card online within 72 hours of arrival. It’s arrival information, not a visa. How the e-Arrival card works
An e-Visa isn’t valid for protected, restricted or cantonment areas. Visiting places such as parts of the North East, Sikkim or the Andaman Islands may need a separate permit.
Pakistani origin, a military or police background, work, journalism or a longer stay all need a regular visa. We help with those too.
Two fees, shown separately, so you always know where your money goes.

The government fee is set by India and depends on your nationality. It isn’t refundable, even if the visa is refused. Our fee is per person and includes checking your documents, fixing your photo and scans, and submitting your application.
No “express” fees. The Indian government doesn’t sell faster e-Visas, so we don’t either. Our job is getting your application right first time.
Once approved, you must make your first arrival in India before the date shown on your e-Visa. Your 30 days start on the day you land, and you can leave and come back within that time.
If you might stay longer than 30 days, or go back later in the year, the 1-year e-Tourist visa is usually better value.
Choose it for one short trip. Choose the 1-year or 5-year visa if you visit India often, as you won’t need to apply again each time.
Not sure? Tell us your plans and we’ll tell you whether the 30-day e-Tourist visa or a longer one is better value.
Just a passport valid for at least six months with two blank pages, and a recent photo with a plain light background. You don’t need hotel or flight bookings to apply, but carry them when you travel. Apply at least 4 days before you arrive in India.
The 30 days start on the date you first arrive in India, not the date it was approved.

No. The Government of India’s e-Visa fee pays for processing your application, so it isn’t refunded if the visa is refused or you cancel your trip. That’s why we check everything before you pay it.
