Passport scan rules
Upload the page with your photo and personal details. All four corners should be visible, the text must be readable, and the two coded lines at the bottom must be clear.
Let us do it for you
Take your photo against a plain wall in daylight and upload it as it is. We’ll check it against the rules, crop it to a square and resize it. If it can’t be fixed, we’ll tell you before anything is submitted.
How to take a good Indian e-Visa photo at home
Stand in front of a plain white or light wall, facing a window so your face is evenly lit. Ask someone to take the photo from about 1.5 metres away, at eye level. Keep a neutral expression, eyes open and glasses off. Then upload it as it is; we’ll crop it square and resize it to the official limits.
