The dates on your e-Visa will match your approved shoot. We’ll confirm them with you.

It can’t be extended or changed

An e-Visa can’t be extended or switched to another type of visa once you’re in India, so choose the right one before you travel.

Arrive at an approved airport or seaport

You must enter India through one of the airports or seaports approved for e-Visas. All the main international airports are included, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Goa and Kochi. You can leave from any immigration checkpoint.

Who can’t use an e-Visa

People of Pakistani origin, anyone with a military, police or security background (serving or retired), and holders of diplomatic or official passports must apply for a regular visa instead.

Fill in the e-Arrival card

Before you fly, complete India’s free e-Arrival card online within 72 hours of arrival. It’s arrival information, not a visa. How the e-Arrival card works

The government fee is set by India and depends on your nationality. It isn’t refundable, even if the visa is refused. Our fee is per person and includes checking your documents, fixing your photo and scans, and submitting your application.

No “express” fees. The Indian government doesn’t sell faster e-Visas, so we don’t either. Our job is getting your application right first time.

How to get an India e-Film visa

Foreign productions apply for clearance through India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting before applying for the e-Film visa. Plan this well ahead, as the clearance must be in place before you apply.

What the India e-Film visa covers

Feature films, television series, web series, adverts and documentaries shot on location in India by foreign productions. Every member of the cast and crew travelling to India needs their own India e-Film visa, and the details must match the production’s approved list.

Questions people ask

Do all the crew need a visa?

Yes, each member of the cast and crew coming to India needs their own visa.

How early should I apply?

At least 4 days before you arrive in India, and no more than 120 days before. We recommend applying 2 to 3 weeks ahead in case anything needs correcting.

Is the e-Visa fee refundable if I’m refused?

No. The Government of India’s e-Visa fee pays for processing your application, so it isn’t refunded if the visa is refused or you cancel your trip. That’s why we check everything before you pay it.
