The government part of Indian e-Visa fees
The Government of India sets the e-Visa fee. It depends on your nationality and the type of e-Visa. A bank charge of around 3% is added for card payments. The fee pays for processing, so it isn’t refunded if the visa is refused or you don’t travel.
Our service fee
If you apply through us, our service fee pays for checking your eligibility, fixing your photo and scans, completing the official form and submitting it. We show it separately from the government fee, before you pay.
No express or emergency fees
The Government of India says it doesn’t charge any express or emergency fee for e-Visas. Be wary of any website offering a guaranteed faster e-Visa for an extra charge.
Regular visa fees
Regular (paper) visas have their own government fee and a visa centre service charge. We’ll tell you the current amounts when you contact us.
When do I pay Indian e-Visa fees?
The government fee is paid online once the application form is complete. It must be paid at least 4 days before you arrive in India, otherwise the application isn’t processed. Our service fee is agreed with you before we start.
